Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Oracle Application DBA to support a multi-national power management client of ours. At a high level, this resource is coming in to help the team handle an upgrade from Oracle 11i to Oracle R12.2. This is stemming from a company that was acquired by said client, where they are running on an old Oracle 11i environment. The expectation is to have this project completed in 12 months. This resource needs to have the experience of executing on upgrades of this caliber already to be successful in the role. They will also supporting the project/development team with the integration. Additional DBA responsibilities around tuning, support, shell scripting will also be applied. The total team size is about 30 people, majority for this work will sit in the US. Must be a US Citizen or GC -- ITAR regulated environment/data.

Skills and Requirements

* Bach Degree or relevant years of experience

* 10+ years experience working as an Oracle Apps DBA

* Experience with upgrading from Oracle 11i to Oracle R12.2 environment.

* Experience with Oracle e-business suite.

* Someone who has experience with 12.2

* Database upgrades -- 10G database -- 12 1, 19C database

* Must be able to read PL SQL/SQL code

* Shell scripting/bash scripting experience

* Must be able handle tuning null
