Description

Robert Half Management Resources is currently looking for an interim Controller to assist a Real Estate/Property Management client to support an upcoming maternity leave for about 6 months. Duties of the interim Controller include items related to both corporate and property accounting such as: month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, financial statement prep, coordination with audit/tax partners, some payroll support, and oversight over 2 staff accounting resources. Client utilizes AppFolio and experience with this software is strongly preferred. Role is based in Columbus, OH and can work a hybrid schedule; although non-local remote candidates with AppFolio and experience as a Controller within the Real Estate industry will be considered.

Requirements

-5+ years of accounting experience, including experience at the Controller level

-Relevant accounting experience in the Real Estate or Property Management industry

-Expertise with month-end and property accounting processes in Apfolio

-Strong MS Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups)

-Experience with team leadership/oversight

-Excellent teaming and communications skills
