Description We are seeking a Programmer Analyst based in Columbus, Ohio. This role is focused on modifying complex software applications and developing new programs to meet user and management needs. The role is within the telecom industry and offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor the production environment, maintaining system health and ensuring business continuity in multi-regional application deployments

• Develop software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications

• Improve the quality, reliability, and time-to-market of our software solutions

• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and recommend application configurations

• Optimize system performance, anticipating customer needs and driving continuous improvement

• Provide operational support and engineering for multiple large, distributed software applications

• Gather and analyze metrics from operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding

• Collaborate with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures

• Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning

• Automate systems and services for sustainability and efficiency

• Balance feature development speed and reliability with defined service level objectives.

• Windows OS Requirements • Proficiency in Python, Java and other relevant programming languages is essential.

• Must have a deep understanding of database structures and principles.

• Demonstrable experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues is required.

• Experience with workstation support and system maintenance is necessary.

• Must have a strong understanding of operating systems, particularly Windows OS.

• Experience with cloud technologies and migration processes is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of quality practices and metric reporting is required.

• Must have the ability to work in a collaborative environment and contribute to team efforts.

• Demonstrable experience in coding and software development is required.

• Knowledge of configuration management and automation practices is essential.

• Experience in consulting and providing technical recommendations is desirable.

• Must have a strong understanding of engineering principles related to software development.

• Experience with monitoring tools and optimization practices is required.

• Must have the ability to interpret and write technical specifications.
