Anderson Aluminum Corporation Glazing Internship Program (Shop and Field learning) in Columbus, Ohio

Anderson Aluminum has developed this program to expose our interns to the unitized glazing experience through hands-on training that will produce well-rounded glaziers, fabricators, leads, or construction managers. These segments will require:

  • Fabricating and assembling our materials into curtain wall, window wall, or punch windows (Shop Segment)

  • Physically installing our materials on a project job site (Field Segment)

  • Learn how the previous segments tie together and what their functions are within the project management segment of their training (Project Management Segment)

  • Learn how estimating is performed and a sales estimate is developed. Understand how specifications dictate how a project is estimated and sold (Sales & Estimating Segment)

  • Learn how our shop drawings are developed and our shop drawings dictate how our fabrication drawings are developed. Understand the importance of structural calculations to the development of our shop drawings (Engineering segment)

  • Learn how each of these segments affects our forecasting and revenue (Finance segment)

As the intern proceeds through each segment, they are expected to review their segment checklist and ensure that they are receiving an understanding of each competency. The intern is encouraged to ask questions and engage the individuals they are shadowing throughout each segment.

The key to any internship program is for the intern to take the experiences they learn and effectively apply them in their daily work activities. The intern is responsible for being their biggest advocate with support from the management team.

After 6 months of being an intern, we have a path for you to grow both professionally and financially.

Grow with us and help us make an impact on the Columbus skyline and beyond
