The Space and Intelligence Division provides engineering services and analytic support to the Air Force, Space Force, Combatant Commands, the Intelligence Community, and NASA. Our work includes systems engineering and integration, test planning and execution, cost estimating and analysis, developing approaches and concepts to meet emerging, high priority National Defense needs, and assessing and developing cutting-edge technologies and capabilities to meet those needs.

SPA has an immediate need for a Headquarters Space Operations (Hq SpOC) Command Orbital Warfare Mission Area Team (OW MAT) Subject Matter Expert (SME) with thorough knowledge of counterspace operations. Subject Matter Expert should have core understanding of Orbital Warfare, processes, and implementation across multiple mission space domains.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will: Provide Orbital Warfare SME support, to include understanding counterspace. Propose, develop, and layout an operations framework for the OW MAT, specifically in the counterspace. Work with other organizations such as Joint Staff, USSPACECOM, USSF, SAF, SpOC, Field Commands, Units, Programs Offices and other US agencies and mission partners to assist in Space Force priorities and direction Directly support OW MAT Weapon System Lead. Participate in interface requirements to ensure program integration for counterspace. Support Deputy Commanding General Operations' Operations Integration and Mission Delivery to deliver fully burden space warfighter capabilities to Combatant Commands. Support the development and review to include but not be limited to Preliminary Design Reviews, Critical Design Reviews, Operations Security, System Acceptance Plans, Concepts of Operations, Joint Urgent Operational Need, Urgent Operational Need, and various Hq SpOC or Higher Headquarters' taskers. Support Hq SpOC Functional Area Manager for managing OW MAT units. Lead or support OW MAT Integrated Capabilities Team meetings. Support OW MAT in the development of Hq SpOC briefings, working papers, meeting minutes, documents, and studies. Attend meetings and briefings on behalf of OW MAT and Weapon System Lead.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: Current SSBI and possess (or be immediately eligible for) a Top-Secret SCI clearance (SAP/SAR eligible day 1) and be willing to take CI poly Working knowledge of USSF, Hq SpOC, OW MAT, and associated Field Commands, Space Force Units, USSPACECOM, USSPACECOM/JTF-SD, USSPACECOM/CFSCC missions, responsibilities, analyses approach and processes Subject Matter Expertise with DoD Space programs, systems, and missions, in particular counterspace experience 10+ years space operations experience in MAJCOM/Field Command headquarters Experience working in SAP/SAR area, including preparing and reviewing documents across all security levels (Unclassified through SAP/SAR) Subject Matter Expertise with orbital mechanics Familiarity with DOTMLPF Initiative-taker requiring limited direction and supervision with superior communication skills (written and oral) to include working with senior leaders Ability to tra el (less than 20%)
