*Job Summary: *

The Security Engineer's (Generalist) responsibilities include maintaining the security posture of OverDrive. This role works with all departments to maintain a high level of security within our applications and network as well as maintain compliance with regulatory standards such as PCI, RGR, Rakuten SCP, and J-SOX.

Responsibilities:

• Advocate security best practices throughout the company.
• Perform security audits and design reviews against network devices and policies or code and applications. Report audit findings and discuss risks to allow for educated decisions.
• Provide guidance and support to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Provide expertise and support for network configuration and design or secure coding practices and design.
• Conduct research to identify new attack vectors against OverDrive's products and services.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Technical knowledge of several operating systems and security appliances.
• Application development experience required for application focused Specialists or a plus for network focused Specialists. Excellent interpersonal / communication skills.
• Well organized with strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize work.
• Valid Driver's license.
