The Gage & Layout Supervisor position is a supervisory leadership role supported by on-the-job training, development, and opportunity for career progression. Production Supervisors are:

What you'll do...

  • Ensure all gage and layout personnel are paid properly, monitor WF1

  • Schedule OT and vacations in WF1

  • Make sure daily coverage is provided (per crew) for plant support, ensure plant production is aware if coverage is NOT available

  • Track and review upcoming Gage R&R's and calibrations with the Production areas

  • Work with layout and calibration vendors to assure all plant equipment is running properly

  • Monitor IQS (gage tracking system) to ensure gage inventory is kept up to date

  • Implement new Gage Tracking System, ensure gage tracking is up to date

  • Monitor major Gage line calls, determine what help is needed, contact vendors, touch base with department engineers for vendor needs

  • Ensure all team members complete required training, schedule medical exams for team members

  • Send out gages for repair, track gages sent out for repair

  • Ability to work all shifts, rotating shifts or weekends, should the need arise

  • Assist Lead Internal Auditor to assist with Internal audits, review responses to CAR’s and conduct follow-up audits to ensure proper closure of concerns

  • Assist Lead Internal Auditor with Training of both Hourly and Salary Employees on QOS requirements

You'll have...

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 1+ years of supervisory and / or manufacturing experience

  • Working knowledge in Microsoft: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Ability to work rotating shifts and hours, including nights and weekends

  • ISO 9001 Certified Auditor Training Certificate

  • Experience with CMM equipment (Zeiss, Adcole, Gage Calibrations)

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Safety and quality experience

  • Six Sigma: Black or Green Belt certified

  • Knowledge of constraint management principles

  • Prior experience managing a unionized workforce

This position is a range of salary grades 6 and 7.
