This IT Manager, Global Color Platform Enablement is responsible for the overall execution of the strategy, planning, communication, and driving the work related to the platform enablement within Global Color. The incumbent will have direct oversite of their DevOps team and vendor teams involved in the effort. The role encompasses collaboration with development teams to help them transform high-level business requirements into distributed microservices, fostering a product mindset, and aligning with the organization's strategic vision. This will be achieved by partnering with Program Management and the Global Color Architect to understand strategy, priorities, project backlog and plan team resources appropriately. Additionally, the IT Manager will partner closely with the Product Owners and Product Management team to create, maintain, and prioritize the backlog of enablement work in alignment with the product roadmap, program strategy and execution plan. This position requires an individual who is passionate and determined to deliver the best leadership, communication, and solutions to deliver maximum business value. This position requires someone with experience in fostering a culture of trust and empowerment within their teams. The IT Manager, Global Color Platform Enablement will possess the ability to make complex decisions, have an entrepreneurial spirit, and have the strong desire for excellence to do well in this role. This role will have direct reports of DevOps developers aligned to the Global Color Platform Enablement. Essential Functions Strategy & Planning Lead and champion the Global Color platform enablement. Establish and foster trusting relationships with Global Color Leadership, stakeholders, and development teams. Work with product owners and the product management team to build the team backlogs and define the short-term and long-term roadmap of the platform. Facilitate continuous improvement to help mature the team's delivery process. Help drive the execution of the Global Color IT initiatives across collaborative and cross-functional teams. Work closely with program managers and Global Color stakeholders to ensure resource allocation and forecasting for the team is appropriately staffed. Provide input and direction to solutions for client requirements. Identify and implement both technical and process improvements and solutions. Maintain a broad knowledge of new technology, equipment, and systems. Determine staffing and skills requirements. Acquisition & Deployment Serve as solution delivery expert for all platform enablement related work and enhancements. Maintain effective working relationships with project teams, program managers, peers, stakeholders and vendors to seamlessly integrate your team's work into the overall strategic objectives and activities of the program. Work with development managers, architects, and other leadership to ensure conformance of system architecture, standards and practices. Work to mitigate risk to budget, timelines and resource availability for projects and assume responsibility for stakeholder sign offs. Support, advise, and assist in resolving issues as needed. Operational Management Provide Global Color Enablement initiatives visibility and reporting of projects to program managers and leadership team. Conduct staffing, performance, and resource management activities to help drive strategic direction of team. Conduct activities such as Recruiting, Managing Candidates through the hiring process, Onboarding and Access, Training and transition to the assigned teams. Create and maintain development plans for each new hire team member, including training, skills assessment, career planning, and goal planning.
