The Sherwin-Williams Company Director, Product Stewardship Systems and Governance in Cleveland, Ohio

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS: - Manage Team: Hire, coach, and support direct reports and determine best organizational design to meet group goals. Build team capability in project management skills and Agile methodology, as needed to support key projects. Drive alignment of team roles and responsibilities within Product Stewardship and other relevant functions. Coach Product Stewardship staff to identify system requirements and user stories, and to conduct user acceptance testing, Complete performance evaluations and goals. Actively manage development plans to ensure adequate succession planning. Conduct operational planning for Systems and Governance team to advance Global Business Process strategies. Contribute to Global Business Process and corporate Product Stewardship strategic planning. Communicate team progress to corporate EHS and PS leadership and business stakeholders. - Business Impact: Align resources to support all critical IT projects, including new enterprise solutions, integrations, updates, enhancements, maintenance, and reports. Align operational plans to corporate initiatives, such as Business Transformation and Digital Transformation. Provide timely and accurate analysis of potential regulatory impacts of new business opportunities, including appropriate mitigation planning with options. Lead global processes and implement robust controls to ensure compliance and drive to lowest cost solutions. Develop and implement governance processes to determine clear priorities for solution development. Maintain hopper of IT projects. Track and manage costs associated with significant IT projects. - Continuous Improvement: Identify and execute continuous improvement projects which will bring efficiency or cost savings across the Product Stewardship function. Act as business lead and owner for IT projects with significant global or financial impact. Support global system integration projects and other cross functional IT projects such as implementation of new or significant regulations, system enhancements, integrations, and technology transfers by cooperating closely with Corporate Product Stewardship team and IT teams. Optimize regulatory data and document access for internal and external customers, including 24/7 self-service access, data analytics tools, and enhanced reporting capability. Partner closely with IT organization to develop consensus strategies and roadmaps to implement enterprise regulatory IT solutions. Travel 10-15% FORMAL EDUCATION: Required: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution Preferred: Master's Degree from an accredited institution Chemistry KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required: 10 years' experience in specific function Global regulations knowledge for paint and coating products Preferred: 15 years' experience in specific function TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Required: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Previous management of team of professionals Leadership of large projects Preferred: Legal support experience Product Development/ Brokers License (varies by job) Sherwin-Williams is proud to be an Affirmative Action, Equal Employment Opportunity, Inclusion and Diversity Supportive Employer.
