Job Overview This position will be primarily responsible for support and management of the college's Mac fleet, including software deployment and configuration, patch management, and system configuration using Jamf (both on-premise and Cloud). Essential Functions Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools. Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure. Assist with developing plans, schedules and requirements for the installation and maintenance of new and/or revised software. Assist in system integration with other systems. Assess the impact of new software on existing systems and users and develop modification plans as needed. Implement upgrades and modifications to systems configuration to improve utilization based on analysis of application and production requirements. Plan system capacity and developing expansion plans. Performing system backups and recovery. Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability. Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes. Maintain security, backup and redundancy strategies. Create and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on tasks. Participate in the design of information and operational support systems. Provide 3rd level support. Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution. Serve as a seasoned and proficient professional. Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time. Required Education Bachelor's Degree in IT related field. Six (6) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement. Required Trainings/Certifications Valid driver's license with an acceptable record Required Experience Two (2) years of experience in an IT endpoint management related field.
