Job Description

A large insurance company in Cincinnati is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to join a team of 17 in the security and architecture space who cross functionally work with up to 10-15 internal personnel daily. This team of engineers and architects support internal teams within the company including IT and Information Security.

Responsibilities Include:

* Expand into and tuning new cloud environments

* Provide insights to save money through identifying data that is top priority

* Respond to SOC and Data Protection team alerts

* Support many security tools including SIEM solutions (Qradar), WAF, IPS, IDS (snort and suricata)

* Database monitoring

* Work with NIST, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, and Microsoft Purview

* Project work includes implementing new systems and working closely with infrastructure teams

Skills and Requirements

* 5+ years of Infrastructure experience

o Windows background

o Experience working with networking, azure cloud, firewalls, routers/switches, security, identity and access management, storage

* 5+ years of Security experience

o Experience with NIST (or similar frameworks)

o Experience with Microsoft Defender (or other antivirus or EDR tools)

o Experience with Microsoft Sentinel (or other SIEM tools)

o Microsoft Purview *  KQL or Python (scripting)

* Linux null
