In this role you will focus on the compression molding within the Applications Lab. Running/operating equipment, maintaining equipment using our PM system, and prepping samples for testing. Will self-manage your backlog and complete submitted tests that require compression molding. Communication and collaboration between labs, team, and management daily. Application Processing Tech Job Duties: *Communication and collaboration between labs, team, and management daily. *Will be a back-up on injection molding after being trained on the equipment will also be available. *Working safely and professionally in a lab setting. *Learning ASTM/ISO standards, test parameters, and industry wide standards in order to ensure proper testing and data. *Recording data, managing samples, and working with PT to ensure conditioning time and testing gets completed. Independently practices applying principles in discipline of competency. *Demonstrates a continuing consciousness of safety in daily activities, and implemented in work designed. *Works under general supervision. *Supports field assignments as required. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected. *Employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. *The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit; climb, balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. *The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision depth perception, and ability to focus. *While performing the duties of this job, the employee may periodically be required to travel to client job-sites, usually involving heavy industrial (chemical) production facilities and access all areas of the facility.
