Job Overview Reporting to the Vice Provost for Academic Analytics, the Project Manager (PM), Academic Analytics & Institutional Research, coordinates and advances institutional initiatives, including data governance and other AA& IR objectives. With outstanding organizational skills, the PM has attention to detail, problem-solves to prioritize across projects to advance a complex set of strategic objectives. Shares timely, relevant project/operating priorities and updates to key stakeholder audiences. Reads audiences, asks questions, and uses feedback to adjust messages and style as necessary to make positive impact. The PM is the office's liaison to Data Technology Solutions and other campus partners, to achieve institutional goals. Using their knowledge of project management practices and focusing on continuous improvement, the PM develops processes and identifies opportunities for enhancing data quality, providing strategic insights, coordinating initiatives, and fostering collaboration to achieve institutional goals. The incumbent communicates effectively, conveys clear and effective messages using verbal and written communication to individuals, small groups, and large audiences. Essential Functions Leads cross-functional teams and stakeholders, providing guidance, support, and oversight throughout the project lifecycle. Provides regular project status updates, communicating progress, risks, and issues to relevant stakeholders and senior management. Collaborates with internal and external teams to share information, build relationships, and achieve shared goals. Conducts regular assessments of data governance practices, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices. Manages institutional-level projects in collaboration with data governance leadership. Develops and implements project plans, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring successful execution of institutional-level projects in alignment with data governance and IR objectives. Establishes and maintains effective communication channels to foster ongoing collaboration and engagement among stakeholders involved in data governance and IR initiatives. Required Education Bachelor's Degree Seven (7) years of relevent work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement. Required Experience Three (3) years of relevant work experience in a technical or functional role working with data. Experience in and functional understanding of complex data environments. Familiarity with defining and tracking performance indicators. Ability to develop methods of implementing institutional initiatives. Demonstrated ability to collaborate, lead and influence within and across teams. Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication. Experience providing training and support. Demonstrated ability to develop skills and competencies
