ServiceNow Administrator

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced ServiceNow Administrator to join our Service Management team that is part of our service management organization. As a ServiceNow Administrator, you will play a crucial role in configuring, customizing, and maintaining our ServiceNow platform to meet the needs of our organization. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including IT teams and business users, to understand requirements and translate them into effective ServiceNow solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • ServiceNow Configuration: Perform hands-on configuration and customization of the ServiceNow platform to support various IT and business processes, including Incident Management, Change Management, Service Catalog, CMDB, Hardware/Software Asset Management, Service Portal, Performance Analytics, and Integrations to External Platforms across multiple instances.

  • System Administration: Oversee the day-to-day administration of the ServiceNow platform, including user management, access control, workflow administration, data management, and system maintenance tasks.

  • Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with business users and IT teams to configure and improve core platform capabilities in accordance with ITIL best practices. Must possess the ability to gather requirements, understand process workflows, and translate them into efficient and scalable ServiceNow solutions.

  • Solution Design and Development: Design and develop ServiceNow solutions, including forms, workflows, custom dashboards and reports, scripts, business rules, UI policies, and integrations, to meet business requirements and improve overall system performance.

  • Incident and Problem Management: Support the resolution of ServiceNow-related incidents and problems by analyzing system issues, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions. Configure and maintain SLA definitions, catalog items and their associated workflows.

  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of ServiceNow enhancements, updates, and patches to ensure system stability, functionality, and adherence to best practices.

  • Documentation and Training: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system configurations, workflows, and customizations. Provide training and guidance to end-users and other administrators on ServiceNow functionality and best practices.

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest ServiceNow features, enhancements, and industry trends. Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend innovative solutions to optimize the use of the ServiceNow platform.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Administrator, configuring and customizing the ServiceNow platform.

  • ServiceNow Certifications: Hold ServiceNow certifications such as Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM modules.

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in ServiceNow platform administration, including user management, access control, form and workflow customization, scripting, business rules, UI policies, integrations, and reporting.

  • Preferred skills: experience using JavaScript, XML and HTML, Web Services. ITIL Knowledge: Familiarity with ITIL v4 processes and best practices, particularly Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Knowledge Management, CMDB and Service Catalog.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex business requirements, identify system issues, and propose effective solutions. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are essential.

  • Communication and Collaboration: Exceptional customer service abilities with interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders, gather requirements, and provide training and support to end-users.

  • Attention to Detail: Possess a strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions. Must possess a keen eye for identifying and resolving system issues and inconsistencies. Adaptability and Continuous Learning: Ability to adapt to changing priorities, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and continuously learn and apply new concepts and technologies.

Although hybrid to a local HUB office is desirable, this position is open to remote candidates.

Disclosure required under applicable municipal regulations in NY and NJ, as well as the law in Colorado: The expected salary range for this position is $95,000 to $115,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
