Job Description

The Lead Analyst, FinOps & Reporting a key member of the Business Process Management team, focusing on optimizing cloud spending and driving financial accountability in the variable spend model of cloud services. This role combines elements of finance, operations, and technology to implement best practices in cloud cost management and ensure efficient resource utilization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial analysis, cloud technologies, and operational efficiency, with the ability to collaborate across teams to align financial and operational objectives.

* Oversee and manage the organization's Cloudability cost management tool across multiple platforms, ensuring optimal allocation of cloud budgets and resources.

* Develop and implement strategies to reduce waste and improve efficiency in cloud spending using tools and practices such as rightsizing, reserved instances, and identifying underutilized resources.

* Work closely with technology and business unit leaders to understand their cloud needs and ensure that financial objectives are integrated with technological deployments.

* Provide detailed reports and analyses on cloud spending trends, variances from budget, and cost-saving opportunities. Offer actionable insights to senior management for decision-making.

* Ensure cloud spending and deployments comply with organizational policies and standards. Develop and enforce governance frameworks to maintain control over cloud expenses.

Skills and Requirements

* 5-7 years of relevant experience in financial management, technology cost optimization, or a related field.

* 2+ years experience in Cloudability cost management tool

* Expertise in using Cloudability to monitor, manage, and optimize cloud spending across multiple service providers. Skills include setting up cost and usage reports, configuring budgets and alerts, and analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities for cost reduction.

* Understanding of Azure cloud platform, including billing and management tools. Ability to assess and implement cost-saving measures within these environments

* Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, specifically experience in managing Azure cloud or IT-related expenditures through PowerBI

* Strong understanding of cloud computing services, pricing models, and cost optimization strategies

* Familiarity with ITSM frameworks such as ITIL and integration with cloud services to support service delivery and cost optimization.

* Experience working and communicating with stakeholders.
