Google Contracting Manager, Google Cloud in Chicago, Illinois

This role may also be located in our Playa Vista, CA campus.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience in customer contracting and agreement management.

  • Experience in customer contracting and agreement management.

  • Experience in writing and discussing agreement documents, proposal documents and statements of work for professional services engagements or other agreements for technology services.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in Vendor Management.

  • Experience with process improvement and automation.

  • Experience building relationships with stakeholders.

  • Experience in consulting services partnering with sales teams to draft complex customer agreements for large technology services businesses.

  • Experience in advising on the legal implications of agreement terms and conditions.

  • Ability to facilitate communication between technical and business stakeholders, detailed and process-oriented.

In this role, you will be accountable for the commercial process of creating agreements for Google Cloud Professional Services Organization (PSO) from start to finish, ensuring the process is efficient and all agreements are high-quality and customer centric. You will also be responsible for the development and execution of agreement, leveraging pre-approved language for the contracting artifacts, aiming at standardization. You will act as a point of contact in the region for the extended workforce function.

In this role, you will create the contracting artifacts (i.e., Statement of Works, order forms, and subcontractor agreements) that meet the unique needs of each customer, while also looking for opportunities to streamline the contracting process.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Liaise with various teams such as Google Cloud Consulting (GCC) pursuit leads, PSO, other GCC functions, Sales, PSO Governance, Commercial, Legal, Partners, and internal support teams to create final executables focused on time, quality, and accuracy, and remove friction in the process.

  • Raise issues with approved scoping language and estimates. Improve existing agreement snippets with the aim to increase the repository of pre-approved language to increase efficiencies.

  • Be accountable for high quality agreements leading to customer satisfaction.

  • Ensure agreement artifacts are compliant, meet legal standards, manage agreement risk and financial health.

  • Oversee the agreement process through to closure, executed by Contracting Agents (CA) inclusive of required approvals with process improvement.
