PrimeFlight Aviation Services Aircraft Security Agent in Chicago, Illinois

Description

Essential Functions:

As a valued member of the PrimeFlight team, the Aircraft Security Agent will be assigned to prevent unauthorized contraband from being introduced to the aircraft. You may also be responsible for monitoring all aspects of the catering process from kitchen to plane-side delivery, offering food safety inspection services with a secure chain of custody. You will also:

  • Guard the jet bridge to the aircraft ensuring no unauthorized entrance.

  • Abide by all airport and security rules and regulations in challenging suspicious individuals and those not wearing an unescorted SIDA identification badge.

  • Assist passengers with security screening requirements, and direct them to gates, restrooms, restaurants, connecting flights, and ground transportation.

  • Assist passengers with any problems, questions, or concerns.

  • Maintain professional working relationships with passengers, fellow employees, supervisors, managers, airline employees, and airport authorities.

  • Report all suspicious individuals and articles immediately as directed.

  • Carry out all facets of the Transportation Security Administration’s Cargo Security Program.

  • Catering inspection services, including materials and equipment.

  • Monitoring the entire catering process.

  • Truck Seal Verification (TSV) and Documentation.

  • Follow and meet the catering vehicle at the aircraft or entry point to the Air Operations Area AOA to verify and break the seal on the catering vehicle.

  • Record all necessary information and report all suspicious individuals and articles immediately as directed.

  • Complete physical inspection of cargo shipments and identify any visible damage or tampering with the integrity of the container, bindings, or wrapping.

  • Prepare the shipment for inspections:

  • Making sure the shipper’s and consignee’s names, addresses, and phone numbers are correct.

  • Verifying contents of the shipment match the airway bill.

  • Ensuring that the flights that the cargo will travel on are correct.

  • Ensure the shipper/consignee on shipment matches those on the documents.

  • Demonstrate regular, predictable attendance at the job location.

  • Exceed PrimeFlight customer service standards.

  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

  • 18 years of age.

  • Reliable transportation.

Computer Skills:

Basic Understanding of Computer Applications and Data Entries.

  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
