Robert Half Cybersecurity Analyst in Charlotte, North Carolina

Description

We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk assessment methodologies, and hands-on experience with security tools and technologies. The Cybersecurity Analyst will play a crucial role in safeguarding our organization's information systems and data against cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor security alerts and logs to identify and respond to potential security incidents.

  • Conduct thorough investigations of security breaches and incidents to determine root cause and impact.

  • Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify weaknesses in our systems and applications.

  • Collaborate with IT teams to remediate identified vulnerabilities in a timely manner.

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of IT security policies, standards, and procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to cybersecurity.

  • Participate in incident response activities, including containment, eradication, and recovery efforts.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to mitigate the impact of security incidents and prevent recurrence.

  • Conduct cybersecurity awareness training sessions for employees to promote a culture of security awareness.

  • Provide guidance and support to staff on cybersecurity best practices and procedures.

  • Manage and maintain security tools such as intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), endpoint protection platforms, and security information and event management (SIEM) solutions.

  • Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and solutions to enhance our security posture.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related role.

  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies.

  • Experience with security tools such as firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM, etc.

  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are a plus.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
