Wolters Kluwer Senior Project & Program Manager in Charleston, West Virginia

The Senior Project and Program Manager role involves managing moderately complex projects or overseeing various aspects of highly complex projects. Responsibilities include assembling project teams, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying necessary resources, and developing schedules to ensure timely project completion. It's essential to have a good understanding of the project's scope and objectives, as well as the roles and functions of each team member, to effectively coordinate team activities.

In addition to the above summary, as part of the HR executive team supporting TAA and FCC divisions, this role provides strong analytical and reporting support. This involves identifying opportunities to impact business results, suggesting changes to processes, and supporting strategic initiatives. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to analyze business processes, regular activities, and special projects to develop and efficiently distribute relevant, decision-quality data and analyses, including internal and benchmark data as appropriate.

Administrative Support Duties to Include:

  • Distribute reports and action items to the team/stakeholders as appropriate; compose and send independent responses to emails, when appropriate; field incoming correspondence; complete deliverables in a timely and quality way

  • Manage and maintain the supervisor’s schedule and determining shifting priorities in schedule. Continually update Outlook calendar to ensure it is up-to-date and accurate; arranging meetings to maximize manager’s time efficiency, while balancing business and corporate priorities; determine if leader should be alerted or meeting should be rescheduled when conflicts arise; and determine which events require leaders' presence and which do not

  • Manage travel arrangements and expenses by making international and domestic travel arrangements (e.g., airfare, train, hotel, car service, rental car) according to corporate standards; managing credits, upgrades, and preferences; create standardized, professional itineraries and calendar notifications; verify all travel arrangements; and process all expense reports, ensuring timely and accurate submission according to expense guidelines

  • Complete daily administrative functions to include purchasing and supplies; prepare invoices; process and approve vendor invoices, including purchase orders; submit invoices to accounting

  • Contribute to team efficiency and effectiveness by completing various operational tasks; developing and maintaining electronic and paper filing system structure for easy access, storage, retention and housekeeping; purchasing equipment and supplies; ensuring team members have necessary resources (e.g., laptops, smartphones, remote internet access); and supporting vendor and expense management through purchase order and invoice management

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a multinational setting within finance, business intelligence, sales operations, workforce planning, actuary, or statistical analysis

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent, relevant work experience

  • Ability to work in a customer-facing, consultative role building effective relationships as a partner who adds value to the business

  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook; advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Access including formulas, pivot tables, charts, macros, queries, and data collection/import

  • Advanced project management skills and demonstrated ability to “influence without authority” across multiple functions and levels in the organization (including executive team)

  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills

  • Experience using Workday preferred

  • Familiarity with business informatics and intelligence tools, such as Tableau and Business Objects preferred

  • Flexibility to travel if required (minimal)

Compensation:

Target salary range CA, CT, CO, HI, NY, WA: $93,400-$130,600
