Job Description:

Join GDIT and be a part of a team that solve some of the world's most complex technical challenges. The Afloat Submarine C4I IPT Common Submarine Radio Room (CSRR) Multi-purpose Reconfigurable Training System (MRTS) team is seeking a Engineer, Electrical/Electronic IV in Charleston, SC.

Afloat Submarine C4I IPT Common Submarine Radio Room (CSRR) Multi-purpose Reconfigurable Training System (MRTS) is the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) Program Executive Office (PEO) C4I model to provide seamless, end-to-end communications training supporting the Sailor 2025, Ready Relevant Learning initiative. Providing system of systems training of this caliber to others in the DoD C4I community is a command goal both now and for the future.

Duties include:

  • Apply engineering and analytical disciplines to identify, document, and verify the functional, performance, and physical characteristics of systems, system of systems, and associated interface systems, to control changes and nonconformance, and to track actual configurations of training systems and platforms.

  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and the ability to evaluate Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Engineering Changes (EC) for training impacts to existing or proposed C4I training systems and curriculum.

  • Review Engineering Changes (EC), Engineering Change Request (ECR) system drawings and technical documents for training implications to existing or proposed C4I training systems and curriculum.

  • Provide technical evaluation of the impact of Ship Alteration (SHIPALTS), Engineering Changes (EC), modifications or improvements, and Trainer Enhancement Change Request (TECR) to existing or proposed C4I training systems or curriculum.

  • Shall design customized training mock-ups including MIL-STD racks, rack integration kits, and deployable hardware systems.

  • Conduct System Operation and Verification Testing (SOVT) on upgrades to existing and installation of C4I training systems.

  • Conduct Pre-Installation Test and Check-Out (PITCO) of C4I training systems.

  • Troubleshoot, identify and resolve CSRR MRTS hardware trainer issues to include networking issues and hardware issues.

  • Develop, edit, update, and maintain Human Systems Integration (HSI) plan as required for existing or proposed C4I training systems or curriculum.

  • Confirm fault diagnosis, calibration procedures and testability using BIT/BITE, ATE and/or software programs, and external Test, Measurement & Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) as needed to evaluate existing or proposed C4I training systems or curriculum.

  • Evaluate technical publications, associated with the non-POR/POR C4I equipment and systems for style, format, and utility, providing recommendations to resolve deficiencies.

  • Support to In-Process Reviews (IPR), including Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR), Team Trainer Readiness Reviews (T2R2), and Installation Readiness Reviews (IRR).

  • Assist in coordinating an Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) event for technical publication reviews. The contractor shall coordinate with the government to ensure appropriate SME representation for the IV&V event. A Validation Report and all document redlines shall be provided to the government after each event.

  • Evaluate, provide input to, and recommend use cases and associated implementation strategies for the application of pr.

  • Work with stakeholders to develop processes to capture and manage design data associated with complex integrated systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree - Electrical/Electronics Engineering.

  • Ten (10) years with Masters or Fourteen (14) with Bachelor’s degree of professional include experience with design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacturing/integration of electrical and electronic equipment, to include:

  • Systems Analysis, Systems Architecture, Systems/Equipment Support, Test and Evaluation, and Logistics support of C4ISR or similar requirements.

  • Specific Experience: Five (5) years of technical experience in support of CSRR Operations. Formal military CSRR (or applicable to task) technical training. CSRR Operator and DoD C4I curriculum development. Experience may be achieved simultaneously

  • Top Secret/SCI
