Summary

The Access and Escort Specialist II will escort and monitor non-cleared personnel while stand and walking for long periods throughout the workday and assist with access control for secured areas at a federal government project.

Responsibilities

  • Escort personnel in various environments such as on construction sites, in office space, or on tours.

  • Stand/walk for long periods throughout the workday.

  • Wear appropriate safety equipment in accordance with OSHA standards and required by federal law and designated clothing and footwear (the client may require a set uniform, such as khakis / slacks, dress shirt or polo shirt and a coat or blazer -all of a set color selected by the client); the Contractor shall supply consistent uniforms for all personnel required to adhere to this requirement).

  • Process visitor requests and/ or requests for site access.

  • Support limited background investigations through collecting paperwork and finger printing.

  • Conduct random inspections/facility checks supporting physical security specialists and ensuring all security standards are in place and physical security equipment is operational.

  • Reporting suspicious activities to security personnel

  • Create/ issue badges for various sites, restrict or control access to sensitive areas, positively identify authorized personnel through established parameters.

  • Handle various other duties as needed

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; no required security experience.

  • Ability to work a consistent full-time or part-time guard schedule

  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite

  • Must have an Active Top Secret Clearance
