The HLS Dragon Engineering Nursing Copilot team builds software solutions that help care providers provide better and more personal care through AI solutions designed to offload the mundane tasks and let the providers focus on the patients themselves. We are looking for a Software Engineer II to collaborate with a world-wide team in building, maintaining, and monitoring these distributed Azure cloud solutions. We are looking for a software engineer willing to take on and conquer the challenges associated with developing and deploying these new innovative software solutions. We are also looking for an engineer with debugging skills to investigate and solve complex issues.

Responsibilities

  • Work with product stakeholders to determine user requirements to design and implement features.

  • Create, implement, and debug code for product features following best practices and coding standards.

  • Support monitoring and debugging of product through use of logging and telemetry.

  • Participate in code reviews to ensure coding standards are followed. Consider diagnosability, reliability, and maintainability when developing and reviewing code.

  • Contribute to efforts to ensure the correct processes are followed to achieve a high degree of security, privacy, and accessibility.

  • Create a plan for testing and assuring quality of solutions, define success for outcomes of test cases, and drive efforts to ensure good test coverage.

  • Continuously building technical knowledge to help improve reliability, performance, and observability of product. Share new ideas and methodologies with other software developers.

  • Support deployment to push features out to customers. Learns about best practices for the safe deployment of features.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years of programming experience with .NET framework (C#).

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Experience working with Azure SQL.

  • 2+ years of experience within the Health Care domain.

  • 2+ years of experience with Azure Cloud distributed solutions development.

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
