Compensation

Salary Range: $87,951- $124,834 (Grade – E/553 hay points)

Responsibilities: This position is responsible for directing and analyzing all the budgets (overtime, operating, capital, contracts, and material) for the Facilities Division of Buses. Generate reports to allow management monitor overtime usage. Responsible for reviewing, auditing, and researching utility bills for the bus depots and shops. Monitor MTA Bus and NYC Transit capital project budgets.

Key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Develop financial and statistical monthly reports to track Facilities overtime.

  • Analyze overtime usage trends and key points to allow management to reduce costs.

  • Manage and oversee the Operating Contracts Budget for the Facilities Division and track vendor expenditures.

  • Evaluate the impact of pending projects to ensure that the department remains within the annual budget.

  • Provide reports pertaining to material usage, tools, and procurement card usage.

  • Oversee the review, payment and audit of all electric, natural gas and water bills for NYC Transit and MTA Bus depots and shops.

  • Create utility usage reports to allow management to monitor electric, natural gas and water usage.

    Education and Experience

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in Business Administration or Transportation Management and six (6) years of full-time related professional experience and at least three (3) years of which must have been in supervisory/managerial capacity: or

  • A satisfactory equivalent

    Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of building/facility operations

  • Knowledge of finances and forecasting

  • Excellent analytical and research skills

  • Knowledge of computer applications such as spreadsheets, databases; word processing. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
