Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Senior Project Manager to work in our People + Places Advisory (PPA) group. This position will manage teams across multiple strategy and design projects while leading clients through design strategy and change management processes to transform their spaces. This position is open to both a hybrid and remote work situation.

Responsibilities of the Senior Project Manager are as follows:

  • Manages a portfolio of projects with a variety of clients, managing more complex clients and projects

  • Manages the day-to-day operational aspects of a project, including the budget, hourly effort, base scope, and additional services, with management of all project phases through to close-out

  • Effectively communicates relevant project information to the client, team, and internal leadership

  • Responsible for timely and accurate invoicing, monitoring receivables, and the collection of AR

  • Responsible for delivering revenues assigned from specific clients as a result of repeat business caused by flawless execution of projects

  • Consistently delivers profit margins planned, completing projects without write-downs or multiplier erosion

  • Manages day-to-day client interaction, communications, and meeting coordination

  • Ensures project documents, including legal documents, contracts, and task orders are reviewed, approved, signed, and filed per the AECOM project management framework

  • Assumes responsibility (in partnership with the Market Leader and Project Approver) for financial, technical, and design excellence, overall quality, and client satisfaction

  • Delivers engaging, informative, and well-organized presentations

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :

  • BA/BS in Architecture or related field plus four (4) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Due to the nature of this work, U.S. Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)

  • Virtual collaboration platforms, such as Miro and Mural

  • Data analytics and visualization programs, such as PowerBI and Tableau

  • Space and building design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and 3D Studio Max

  • Strong writing skills

  • Experience with public speaking and/or workshop facilitation

  • Microsoft Office Suite

  • Microsoft Teams

  • Data analysis using Microsoft Excel

  • Demonstrated research and analysis abilities (quantitative and/or qualitative)

  • Graphic design and visual communication know-how, especially in producing infographics or conceptual illustrations

  • Familiarity with change management, process design, and/or organizational development

  • Professional experience leading clients through design strategy and change management processes to transform their spaces

  • Has the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment, and can take point on multiple projects with the support of Practice Leads and junior colleagues

  • Has the ability to determine the needs of clients, teammates, and deliverables, and work as a leader who insists on delivering top-caliber work

  • Ability to coordinate a team and manage a project effectively, serving clients while balancing scope and schedule requirements

  • Willing to learn about new skills and ideas and will strive for mastery across all aspects of the strategy process, including supporting junior colleagues in their development

  • Travel up to 20% of the time

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $130,000.00 - $160,000.00.
