  • • Why is the role open/what is driving the need: the Rental Business and Consumer Home Ownership teams both have BAs. The Consumer Home Ownership team’s BA was promoted and this contractor will be filling the role in the meantime. 6 month contract, possible extension. The permanent backfill is not approved by management yet so this contractor will be the interim solution. They will be working on the.

  • • What project will they be working on: “The analyst will be working on a project for our initiative to build a system integration between our mortgage insurance servicing system and Freddie Mac's Total MI API for mortgage insurance claims processing. The analyst will need to coordinate with MIF stakeholders, the Freddie Mac project team, and our internal development team, which will include Dominic. Knowledge of mortgages and mortgage insurance would be very helpful” – email directly from the client

  • • Day to Day work: Typical Day to day: 930 scrum, meeting with the team, product backlog grooming every 2 weeks, spring planning, etc., getting through email updates, scheduling meetings, writing documentation, Azure Devops, backlogs, system testing, Coordinating the meetings with Freddie Mac, doing coordination between Freddie Mac and internal business people, translating what Freddie mac needs into what we have

  • o First month or two will be : getting up to speed on system, setting meetings with Freddie Mac (30 minute check ins), 930 scrum, scheduling longer meetings, project planning, etc.

  • • Who will they be working with: Primary Stakeholder is the MIF fund – this BA will interact with the head of this department, in the meetings with Freddie Mac, monthly hands on deck meeting, mortgage insurance fund team, internal IT team, couple of PMs, a BI specialist in homeownership (in the case we need more data), maybe the reporting person (BI people), some people in the finance department

  • • Skills Needed: data mapping + documentation, Business Analyst soft skills (gathering requirements, stakeholder and end users communication), Ability to run SQL Server data query

  • • Nice to haves (make sure to highlight these skills): Mortgage or mortgage insurance industry experience, testing experience (all manual testing)

  • • SQL Querying: Theyn would like someone who can query a SQL Server Database (more info below)

  • • Testing: This role will also include testing: performing user functionality testing

  • o The system calls and API, gets data from Freddie Mac

  • o We get a response for Freddie Mac, then our MIF team logs into the system, matches them with records and logs

  • o The testing would be logging into that system to make sure that went smoothly, making sure the data adds up properly

  • o This would be querying a SQL server data base, look at both data sets, look at the translation and seeing if that happened, click a button, send it back to Freddie Mac

  • o All manual testing, not automated, its through a web application, querying a SQL server would be great

  • o Don’t need someone with a degree in QA or a huge QA background, but understanding requirements as it related to system

    • • Tools: Tools they will be using: Azure Devops for our sprints, SolarWinds servicedesk for tickets/requests/enhancements, Office 365, MS Project (but its not utilized a ton)
  • Requirements

• 5-7 year BA experience,

• Documentation/data mapping,

• Communication (gathering requirements, stakeholder and end user communication),

• SQL server Query experience

• Mortgage or mortgage insurance would be amazing to have

• Testing experience would be great
