Position Specific Description

NextEra Energy is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the installation, operation, and maintenance of photovoltaic solar systems. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting routine inspections and maintenance, troubleshooting system issues, and ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of solar power plants.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections of PV solar systems to identify and address any maintenance or performance issues.

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities, including cleaning panels, replacing faulty components, and performing tests to ensure optimal system performance.

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose system failures, utilizing technical knowledge and monitoring tools.

  • Collaborate with the operations team to implement and execute maintenance plans and procedures.

  • Coordinate closely with the construction team during the installation and commissioning of new solar projects.

  • Generate reports and maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, and equipment conditions.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all work activities.

  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in solar technology and maintenance techniques.

Job Overview

Employees in this position perform power plant operations as well as maintenance on station equipment.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Under general supervision:

  • Repairs and calibrates equipment

  • Monitors equipment performance through testing

  • Applies general electrical, mechanical, or I and C skills

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED

  • Experience: 2+ years

  • Valid Driver’s License (NON-CDL)

The base pay for this position is $66,400.00 to $99,600.00 per year. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.
