The Intelligence Analysis Mission Integration Department (N442) is seeking a Principal Legal & Policy Expert to support our counterintelligence mission within the National Intelligence Program. The Mission Integration Department develops strategies, policies, technical analyses, and tools to enhance the nation’s counterintelligence, counter-insider threat, and counterproliferation mission sponsors. The work requires operating with the senior levels of government, a broad understanding of Title 50, Title 10, and Title 18 laws and related policies, the counterintelligence mission, and the Intelligence Community, particularly the partners and stakeholders in the counterintelligence mission.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Understand and navigate legal and policy implications of enterprise system data sharing with other IC and non-IC organizations.

  • Serve as senior subject matter expert for national security matters, providing advice, policy support, strategic planning, resource analysis, and implementation guidance.

  • Work with the senior government officials to lead the effort to draft, shape, coordinate and gain approval for memoranda.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must have an active Top Secret/SCI with current Polygraph.

  • Juris Doctorate degree and experience within the Intelligence Community (IC).

  • Strong understanding of domestic and international national security, complex law enforcement and legal matters.

  • Expertise in US government national policy development and implementation, legal analysis, US Intelligence Community and law enforcement interagency operations.

  • Experience generating reports, briefings, and position papers.

  • Strong writing and briefing skills.

  • Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • This position requires an on-site presence of 5 days a week.
