The Access Control Tech shall serve as the primary resource custodian for Access Control Management.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the management of the administrative and technical requirements necessary to efficiently support mission requirements and the personnel performing duties for access control management.

  • Provide timely security support, and effort, to the Physical Security Team’s internal and external tasking, projects, and programs, including Physical Security, Lenel, Preventative Maintenance Inspection (PMI), and Access Control (Security Management System and Department of Defense Common Access Card).

  • Provide timely security support and effort to Government personnel located on NSWCCD Site in support of Physical Security.

  • Provide technical support to users.

  • Monitor access control systems.

  • Identify and recommend system improvements.

  • Complete annual company and customer-required training, as required.

  • Complete timesheets daily in an online system according to company policies and procedures.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • An associate degree in security management or a similar discipline is preferred.

  • 2+ years of work experience with Access Control Systems.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

  • Interim Secret clearance is required to start.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must have the ability to maintain a Secret clearance for the lifecycle of the project.

  • Working knowledge of a variety of computer software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint presentations, and Excel spreadsheets.

  • Advanced knowledge of electronic test equipment.

  • Must have knowledge of classified material handling, and document control.

  • Must have strong English written and verbal communication skills.

  • Possess strong critical thinking skills.

  • Possess excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize.

  • Ability to multi-task in a high-performance-based environment.

  • Ability to self-start and work independently or as a team.

  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff, government personnel, and management.

  • Ability to attend all customer in-person meetings and conferences as requested.

  • Travel up to 10% as required.
