Title:

Senior Principal Specialist; Logistics Specialist

KBR is seeking a highly motivated Logistics Specialist to support an Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Aircraft Acquisition program at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. Candidate will prepare logistics support documentation and source data, such as logistics operational management/user documents, integrated logistics support plans, user logistics support summaries, post-production support plans, and logistics implementation plans. Implements logistics plans, databases, and support files to support the fielding of new complex information systems or major modifications. Applies logistics principles and methods to specialized logistics solutions. Performs logistics database management functions. Performs logistics inventories and related logistics functions. Works independently and leads the implementation of logistics discipline.

Specific responsibilities may include:

  • Provide acquisition and logistics management to DoD, USAF and AFLCMC major systems and programs for dynamic, multi-faceted weapon systems programs

  • Implements a CBM+ approach to criticality analysis leveraging ‘lead the fleet’ Integrity Programs

  • Deliver high-level expertise weapon system life cycle and integrated logistics assessments (ILAs) and program-unique IT system solutions sustainment

  • Integrate sustainment tools IAW aircraft to reduce operations and maintenance costs and increase aircraft availability

  • Provide advanced technical knowledge and analysis, including analysis and adjudication of existing weapon system support and identifying shortfalls in sustainment concepts

  • Provide strategic direction for weapon systems logistics and sustainment and led sustainment initiative programs resulting in aircraft availability increase

  • Deliver technical reports, studies, and logistics support documentation design and preparation

  • Lead Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) working groups investigating obsolescence and recommending alternative approaches; Familiarity with the DoD DMSMS Handbook

  • Recommend technical specifications to posture sustainment of components throughout their lifecycle

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; at least 15 years of experience; Secret clearance, DAWIA Life Cycle Logistics Level (LCL) 23 years of experience can be used in lieu of a degree

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree; DAWIA Life Cycle Logistics Level (LCL) 3 certification; PM Level 3
