HP Inc. Experience Design Graduate - Future of Work in Barcelona, Spain

HP Inc. is comprised of Print, Personal Systems and Workforce Services. The Future of Work team is on the Personal Systems side of the business, in the Commercial PC & Displays Organization. We have team members located across the U.S. in Palo Alto, Boise, and Houston, and now expanding to Barcelona.

Our team is focused on insights to innovation, the earliest stages of the product lifecycle. We uncover pain points and apply design-thinking frameworks to pioneer and experiment with new concepts, business models, and market opportunities where HP has the right to play-and win.

Main Responsibilities

  • Participate in user research analysis uncovering insights from interviews, surveys, and observations.

  • Conduct secondary research, trend analysis, and competitor benchmarking and regularly share learnings and insights with the team to inform innovation efforts.

  • Research macro trends and global drivers shaping the Future of Work. Learn strategic foresight techniques with us to explore plausible futures.

  • Develop and refine frameworks to organize complex information and to communicate insights and strategies effectively. This may include strategy frameworks, journeys, personas, ...

  • Collaborate with team members to ideate and generate creative ideas and conceptualize advanced concepts: new ways to do things; new products; new form factors; new experiences.

  • Apply design thinking methodologies to understand user needs, generate insights, and develop innovative solutions. Support in the planning and facilitation of workshops and co-creation sessions.

  • Create storyboards, sketches and/or prototypes to visualize concepts for testing and iteration.

  • Support the creation of presentations, narratives and thought-leadership materials that showcase our point of view around the future of work.

  • Test new AI tools regularly and evaluate their potential applications to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and creativity for work. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies.

Education, Experience & Job Requirements

  • Recent Graduate in Industrial Design, Experience Design, User Experience, Industrial Design and Product Development Engineering , or a related field.

  • Work experience is not required, but appropriate internships related to the job content would be a plus.

  • Fluent in English.

  • Solid knowledge in MS Office.

  • Knowledge in digital tools to represent concepts such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Generative AI tools, etc.

  • Analytical thinker - ability to analyze and understand complex systems, recognizing patterns, connections, and the broader implications of decisions within interconnected systems.

  • Excellent communication, presentation and teamwork skills : capacity to communicate and collaborate in a work force but also able to work in an autonomous and self - sufficient manner.

  • Excellent visual design skills to create compelling presentations.

  • Proactive, curious, and fast - learner person: Capacity and eagerness to learn new things and be in different environments and workforces learning in a fast pace.

  • Solid adaptability and change management skills: Adapt quickly in a dynamic environment being able to think critically for the creation of solutions in unpredicted problems/circumstances.

  • Comfortable navigating uncertainty and complex challenges. Have experience applying design thinking methodologies and tools to solve problems.

  • Strong interest in the Future of Work and a passion for creating innovative solutions. Interest in Futures Thinking and Strategic Foresight is a plus.

  • Interest in AI tools and investigation of Artificial Intelligence would be a plus.
