The Executive Director/Administrator is a member of the Management Team and assumes complete administrative and managerial responsibility for all business outcomes including the overall delivery of services

Your Role:

Sales and Marketing

  • Develop a sales and marketing plan for the community.

  • Coordinate community marketing using social media, print and video experiences, and hosting open house events.

  • Initiate new sales, giving prospect tours and qualifyingleads.

  • Provides assistance with patient admission to ensure a smooth transition.

  • Engage in “rounding” – environmental (cleanliness, neatness, wear-and-tear issues) and people (residents and families and all staff)

  • Analyze data and recommend strategies and actions to positively impact business goals.

  • Engage in Business Reviews of revenue and cost reduction opportunities.

  • Meets census and if applicable, case mix goals.

    Guest Life Quality

  • Oversee Resident Care and assure the Residential Care Department is in compliance with all State rules and regulations, meets the facility’s ANA standards of care, and is in compliance with any applicable Federal rules and guidelines.

  • Collaborate with the Management Team to assure the delivery of quality care and a timely admission and discharge process.

  • Assure all Residential Care personnel have received appropriate training, orientation, and evaluation to deliver quality care.

  • Provide family members with information about the unit, for example, through the center’s newsletter or other center communication.

  • Plan and coordinate the facility's therapeutic program schedule which meets the spiritual, social, emotional, physical, and intellectual needs of the patients. In conjunction with other departments, plans, and organizes program content.

  • Assess patient characteristics, including, for example, cognitive and functional abilities, dementia stage, and prior lifestyle.

  • Know and respects patient rights; following all procedures re: health information, complaint reporting, and managing patient abuse, neglect, and/or misappropriation of patient property.

  • Investigate and report allegations of patient abuse, neglect, and/or misappropriation of patient property

  • Participate in our Quality and Process Improvement programs.

    Managerial

  • Participate in department budget planning and supplies monthly report to supervisor.

  • Unit staffing: Interview, place job offers, check references, conduct annual evaluations, and facilitate any necessary performance improvement interventions.

  • Ensure the community is clean, attractive and homey for guests, families and visitors.

  • Ensure policies and procedures are followed, developed and, monitored to serve the proper functioning of the community in compliance with all applicable Federal and State rules and regulations.

  • Ensure information management systems support facility operations.

  • Develop and manage both annual revenue and expense budgets and capital budgets within approvals.

  • In concert with the manager: Protect company assets, manage vendor relationships and contracts, monitor financial performance including accounts payable, accounts receivable and, when required, assist with collections of delinquent accounts.

  • Mentor, coach and, counsel staff as needed.

  • Follow and facilitate all human resource policies and programs, including health and safety programs.

    What are we looking for?

  • 3+ years of demonstrated managerial and sales knowledge in Retirement Living or the equivalent

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • Experience in computer applications (Microsoft suite Excel, Word, Power Point etc.) PointClickCare knowledge a plus.

  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills for both internal and external messaging

  • Ability to work both independently and cross-functionally to achieve goals

  • Ability to thrive in a multi-tasked and fast-paced environment

  • Strong outgoing personality with problem-solving skills, ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously, function well under pressure, delegate effectively, and ability to remain positive and constructive under stress
