Role and Responsibilities

The PCI SME will have primary responsibility for leading and coordinating the PCI compliance for the assigned clients and will own the overall success of the PCI compliance of the assigned portfolio.

Responsibility - Ongoing Compliance:

• Be the primary point of contact on PCI subject matter expertise

• Report PCI compliance status on a regular basis to Program Sponsors and key stakeholders.

• Work with risk Management, and compliance manager to ensure that PCI requirements for CDE environment segmentation, hardening, and use of security tools are in compliance.

• Facilitate an annual, semi-annual, quarterly, monthly review and approval of all PCI evidence.

• Verify through periodic validation and approval of evidence and keep content current on the PCI Governance on SharePoint tool.

• Stay current on PCI DSS requirements, best practices, and industry trends

• Provide expertise as needed in scope reviews of assigned IT environments during Plan, Design, and Pre-deployment, deployment, and operations phases.

• Annual Report on Compliance (RoC): Manage the relationship and contract with the external Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) and the PCI Subject Matter Expert (SME) advisor.

• Coordinate activities of the QSA and Conduent departments, during the RoC review process.

• Coordinate timely remediation of any gaps noted during the RoC review and the annual Attestation of Compliance (AoC).

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Good understanding of PCI-DSS 3.2.1, and should have worked in IT industry

• A minimum of three years progressively responsible work involving project management and policy analysis.

• A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or Public Policy). A combination of education and years of experience may be substituted and will be evaluated on an individual basis.

• Strong organizational and proactive planning skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills & Ability to drive team to key milestones.

• A confident, collaborative manner when dealing with conflict.

• Team player with positive, results-oriented attitude. Ability to work in a fluid environment with changing deadlines.

• Ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment across multiple departments.

• Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products including SharePoint.

Preferred Skills

• Good understanding of PCI-DSS 3.2.1, and should have worked in IT industry

• PCI-ISA and/or PCIP certifications preferred but not required

• Advanced degree or coursework in a relevant field but not required

• Experience working in a compliance role in a complex organization.

• Experience with Payment Card Industry Data security standard.
