B2B Cobrand Payments (BCP) team is responsible for developing innovative payment products and solutions for business customers leveraging Amazon partnership with third party financial institutions to enhance end-end-payment experience for business purchasing on Amazon and Amazon Business. We work relentlessly to anticipate the financial needs of businesses globally and empower them to positively impact the communities they serve. We empower businesses to grow by providing better products, benefits and offers to support their financial needs and help in increasing their purchasing power. Our team is expanding Amazon B2B cobrand cards and B2B Buy Now Pay Later globally to different Markets - in NA, EU and we have a solid road map for market expansion into FE. We move quickly in collaboration with our business to bring new features to Amazon Business customers while having fun in innovating, building multi-tenant, configurable and reusable components for serving our long term vision. We build large scale solutions that serve millions of business customers and help them grow and fulfill their business needs.

Key job responsibilities

  • As a Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible to deliver working features to support large scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications for Amazon customers, spanning the full software lifecycle including working backwards from customers, software design, implementation, testing, and deployment, operations, and documentation.

  • Deliver novel customer experiences by developing solutions which include innovative strategies, Native AWS services and large scale back-end services.

  • You'll take ownership for the long-term quality and success of the products that your team builds and drive continuous improvement in engineering and operational excellence.

  • Use your problem-solving skills, collaborate with creative and technical teams, think-big, invent and simplify to solve complex and ambiguous challenges.

  • You'll use your ingenuity and motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.

  • Write clean, maintainable code, perform peer code reviews to insist on high standards .

  • Ensure quality design, robust engineering practices, automated testing, code coverage and full CI/CD pipelines are maintained in your teams scope.

  • You'll identify appropriate tradeoffs and escalate when you realize that a problem is beyond your control.

  • Provide guidance to other engineers in the team and help them develop production software in line with Amazon's quality bar.

Additionally, you will have the chance to shape the technical roadmap, allowing you to define the future direction of our offerings and implement new mechanisms. You'll work closely with your tech leaders, product and marketing managers to deliver high value features for our customers. Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  • 4+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

  • Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence

  • Experience building distributed systems and APIs with object oriented programming knowledge (Preferred Java)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
