Security Foundations builds solutions that keep Amazon systems and data secure on behalf of the Amazon customer. Our customers range from security engineers who need a comprehensive understanding of Amazon systems and their security state, to service teams who need solutions that make it easy to build and operate secure systems, to third party vendors who do business with Amazon. We use the latest technology to solve security problems at Amazon scale. We employ automation and machine learning to reduce, or eliminate, manual effort to help our internal customers raise the security bar. In this role, You will work with SDEs/other DEs and Data scientist to invent, design and build data solutions that will have significant impact across vendors doing business with Amazon, and all Amazonian building software solutions

Your job responsibilities will include -

• Design, implement, and support a platform providing secured access to large datasets.

• Architect , develop and maintain end to end scalable data infrastructure and data pipelines

• Develop the teams' data strategy and technical road map of data storage & pipelines design and implementation

• Interface with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL, scripting and AWS big data technologies.

• Designing and implementing complex ETL pipelines and other BI solutions.

• Work closely with business owners, developers, Business Intelligence Engineers to explore new data sources and deliver the data.

• Empower the team for self-servicing by providing the necessary skills to handle complex tasks independently. Ensure that the team can efficiently manage and troubleshoot data-related issues, leading to increased autonomy and productivity. along with fostering a culture of self-reliance.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of data engineering experience

• Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions

• Experience with non-relational databases / data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases)
