Working with a moderate degree of supervision carries out routine Audio Visual Systems installation tasks. Performs installation tasks for audio-visual projects including but not limited to: pulling cable, installing connectors, mounting projectors, and some metal fabrication. Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints. Use hand and power tools to solder and crimp connectors along with various other AV systems related tasks. Assist with basic mechanical fabrication and basic rack wiring. Projector and screen support structure installations. Test point-to-point functionality of systems. Communicate daily job site status.Support faculty and staff with their AV system issues, analyze and troubleshoot in-room AV systems when dispatched by trouble call. Initiate work around if a quick fix cannot be applied to enable the continuation of class/meeting, file trouble ticket for further investigation if needed in the ticket system.Other related functions as assigned.
