Job Title: NECEC Vendor Contract Senior Manager

Location: Augusta, ME

Reports to: PMO Director- NECEC

The base salary range for this position is \$117,980.00 to \$153,374.00 and idependent upon experience

PURPOSE

The NECEC Vendor Contract Manager is responsible for the management of the NECEC vendor contracts. This includes the management of the Engineering, Equipment, and Construction and any other contract agreements that have resulted from the execution of the NECEC.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the management of the NECEC vendor contracts. Contracts include but are not limited to the Engineering, Equipment Supply, HVDC Converter EPC, and HVDC Lines and AC Upgrades Construction Contracts. Lead preparation and coordination of communications with the NECEC vendors. Support NECEC Managers supervising the progress of contractors, overseeing its execution and remaining budget. Manage changes of the contract support Managers during its negotiation. Oversee the contract and regulatory compliance in coordination with other Departments. Developing new contracts and supporting Managers during negotiation. Coordinate with AVANGRID Legal Department for any required Contract Management support. Coordinate with the AVANGRID Risks Department in the definition and monitoring of risk coverages: letters of credit, insurance, and other securities included in the contracts. Coordinate with AVANGRID Cybersecurity Department implementing all company\'s requirements in the contracts and supervising its compliance. Monitoring Contractor\'s compliance with contractual milestones requirements during execution and warranty period. Managing definition, compliance, and implementation of contractual liabilities and applicable provisions. Establish resource plans and coordinate the internal needs with the rest of the departments in the organization

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Engineering, Finance, or Regulatory, and a minimum of 7 years relevant experience required. Master\'s Degree or MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of broad-based experience in the energy industry and contract/project management
  • Project Management Certification preferred.
  • Experience working in Contract Management and legal environments, preferably in management roles with budgetary and/or planning responsibilities
  • Extensive management and supervisory experience in an electric utility environment
  • Demonstrated experience working in a large multi-faceted utility organization with varying goals, customers, and stakeholders

Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proven ability to work in a complex environment with many competing priorities and stakeholder demands.
  • Strong business orientation and excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project and project scheduling principles
  • Self-starter that can work independently and motivate internal and external resources to meet key project deliverables. Particularly interested in a \"can-do\" attitude and a passion for commercial success
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across multi-functional teams and with senior management.
