Federal Aviation Administration IT Specialist in Atlantic City, New Jersey

Summary Serves as an IT Specialist on the Maintenance and Logistics Group, NAS Monitoring Team (NMT) AJW-163. Responsibilities This position provides support on a variety of projects for the agency’s real-time Remote Monitoring and Logging System (RMLS) software, hardware, and database projects through all phases of the projects. The incumbent participates as a technical team member on associated activities related to RMLS requirements, design, development, testing, documentation, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring. Performs a mixture of basic and routine assignments under the close direction of a team lead or more experienced technical specialist. Applies basic technical knowledge and limited experience to accomplish assignments. Work activities typically support the work of other employees and contribute to activities of the organizational unit. Typical duties include: Evaluating and analyzing all facets of Real-time Remote Monitoring and Logging System (RMLS) operations and activities associated with the system; Recommending modifications, enhancement, and problem resolution to support system restorations to the operational RMLS; Conducting functional verification and test activities to ensure that developed changes are implemented as designed and comply with RMLS requirements; Reviewing and evaluating Reported Defects and proposed program improvements; Providing support for the planning, requirements, design, development, testing, and maintenance of current and future RMLS changes; Applying RMLS expertise in the development of new and improved concepts, enhancements, and techniques for advancing the current systems; Requirements Conditions of Employment We are not accepting applications from noncitizens. OR, Education substitution: Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree, gained from an accredited college or university. OR, Combination education and experience may be qualifying for this position.
