Trinity Health Manager of Donor Relations (Non-profit)- $5,000 sign-on bonus in Athens, Georgia

Position is responsible for creating and executing a comprehensive, year-round fundraising plan for annual giving. The fundraising plan will include goals, strategies, and programming that build and engage St. Mary’s donor base, increasing the annual fund each year. This position will also work in collaboration with the Database Coordinator to ensure the effective administration of annual fund gifts through acknowledgment letters, recognition of donors in the Annual Report, and the delivery of any necessary reports to appropriate constituents. Works closely with the Database Coordinator, the Foundation Director, Marketing Department, and service line leaders. Through CRM research and research conducted from event attendees, position will identify, cultivate, and steward meaningful relationships with established and potential donors, seeking and securing unrestricted gifts less than $5,000 for the True-Blue Annual Giving Campaign, as well as identifying potential campaign and planned giving prospects.

Position Requirements :

A: Licensure/Certification/Registration : None

B. Education: Bachelor’s degree required.

C: Experience:

Minimum of six years of experience in nonprofit environment, with a demonstrated record of success in annual giving. Experience promoting and managing previous annual giving programs in educational or socially focused non-profits is highly desirable. Demonstrated and successful experience performing personal solicitations of annual fund gifts. Experience with volunteer management is highly preferable. A strong sense of fundraising ethics and practices, and respect for confidentiality of donor information. Excellent written and oral communication skills. A highly energetic and enthusiastic personality, with excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and time-management skills. The ability to work both independently and as a team player. Proficiency in MS Office programs, Google Suite, and Blackbaud competency is strongly preferred. Ability to work evenings and/or weekends, as required by position.

D: Essential Functions:

  • Creates and manages a comprehensive fundraising plan and appeal schedule for the True-Blue Annual Campaign, in coordination with employees, Auxiliary, and hospital system communication efforts.

  • Works collaboratively with members of the Marketing and Communications Office to coordinate appropriate annual giving solicitations, including strategy and stewardship of donors and prospects.

  • Works with the Marketing and Communications Office to create appeals and marketing materials, as well as to maintain the True-Blue Annual Giving page on the St. Mary’s Foundation website.

  • Makes strategic and statistical-based recommendations for True Blue to the Foundation Director and to the Foundation Board of Directors Fundraising Committee and Committee’s Board of Trustees/Campaign Chair(s) for annual dollar, participation, and qualitative goals. Creates and implements strategies to achieve annual giving goals.

  • Creates and manages a multidimensional appeal schedule that utilizes a variety of mediums (e.g., electronic solicitation, direct mail appeals, face-to-face solicitations, and proposals) to communicate with potential and current donors.

  • Cultivates and manages volunteers that will work to increase engagement and giving. This includes serving as the liaison with Auxiliary, Hospital Employees, and with the Foundation Advisory Council (FAC).

  • Along with the Database Coordinator, will be responsible for preparing weekly, monthly, and other relevant annual giving reports.

  • Maintains an active prospect portfolio and solicit first time and gifts less than $5,000 in support of annual giving.

  • Utilizes Blackbaud CRM to track contacts, produce donor engagement notes, and conduct appropriate constituent follow-up within two weeks.

  • Participates in Foundation Board of Director meetings and Foundation Advisory Council interaction, (when appropriate) along with Fundraising Sub-Committee interactions.

  • Support the Foundation and Hospital Ministry in its mission, and its leadership.
