Senior Manager - Fleet Sales R28476

The Senior Sales Manager for Fleet serves as a key strategic business partner for Pierce Manufacturing and is responsible for our Fleet Sales Platform. The fleet program drives sales for the business with customers that operate within a city or county of 200,000+ population (US and Canada) and have unique needs associated with high volume and or frequent purchases. This role leads a linked accountability effort across the enterprise and with our dealer network to gain profitable market share with this important segment of customers.

YOUR IMPACT: .

  • Lead the Fleet team in designing & executing a comprehensive, long-term growth strategy. Tactics should be designed to increase customer satisfaction & profitably grow Fleet sales by partnering with RVP’s and dealers on creating the truck bids ( options, drawings, weight reviews, specs, etc.) and effective project management.

  • Create and manage the Fleet specific programs related to the order management process, Fleet perks, and training programs that deliver appropriate differentiation, retention and growth with both existing Fleet customers and potential targets.

  • Provide strong leadership to our team members through effective communication, coaching, training, and career development. Support our People First culture throughout the organization.

  • Build strong & effective relationships internally and with the dealer network; be a positive voice with respect to strategy & growth for both dealers & Pierce Manufacturing while gaining a deep understanding the needs of our customers.

  • Partner with the appropriate stakeholders to foster an environment of continuous improvement and implement action as needed with associated dealers and internal Pierce teams.

  • Work in concert with customer service to analyze warranty data and actively manage the order / build process to reduce frequency of warranty claims.

  • Operate with an entrepreneurial mind-set to develop comprehensive business case(s) to support growth and change within the Fleet platform.

  • Manage days net working capital (DNWC) by actively leading the order process and fostering predictability for committing, scheduling and pick-ups in partnership with manufacturing.

  • Provide functional knowledge and business intelligence to help the team in its strategic planning and leadership of the business, to include regular communication and reporting on the fleet business.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.

  • Ten (10) or more years of related experience

  • Five (5) or more years management experience.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Detailed and results oriented.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

  • Ability to travel up to 20% (Trade Shows, Customers Visits, Sales Meetings, etc.)

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience in custom manufacturing

  • Prior experience within the fire industry

  • Master’s degree preferred
